Blue Fluted Full Lace has actually been in existence since 1775, but originally only in the form of dessert plates. It was initially developed as a full service just over 100 years later, in 1888. In common with the Plain and Half Lace service, all lids are decorated with pretty snail shells, and all parts are assembled, painted and glazed by hand. In the openwork lace border of mussel decorations, each individual hollow is cut out by hand and represents the ultimate in elegant modeling.
